Please accept this letter to serve as our application for the above reference
submittal. We wish to be placed on the January 20, 2022 Board of Adjustment
Meeting agenda. We are requesting a variance to allow the construction of an
accessory building in the rear yard setback that will exceed the 30% area limit of
the rear yard (paragraph a.2.c of Section 36-156) and to reduce the street side
setback for the accessory building to 7' instead of 15' (paragraph a.2.b of Section
36-156). The owner also proposes attaching the accessory building to the primary
residence enclosing the current covered porch.
The owner wishes to have a 2 car garage accessed from Z Street on the north
while preserving as much yard for a small swimming pool on the narrow lot as
possible in keeping with trend for single family homes in the area being larger on
the small lots.
Enclosed please find a check for the review fee in the amount of $105.00.
