Re: Vehicle Trip-Generation Comparison
Bank Land Use vs Proposed Restaurant Land Use
Bowman Road and W. Markham Street
Little Rock, Arkansas
Dear Mr. Bubbas:
Peters & Associates Engineers, Inc. has compared vehicle trip generation of the previous bank land use on
in the shared building with the David’s Burgers to a proposed restaurant development for the same
location.
The Trip Generation, an Informational Report, published by the Institute of Transportation Engineers
(ITE) and The Trip Generation Manual 10th Edition, 2017, were utilized in calculating the magnitude of
traffic volumes expected to be generated by the bank land use and the proposed restaurant land use of the
site. These are reliable sources for this information and are universally used in the traffic engineering
profession. Results of these calculations are summarized on the following table and chart, “Trip-
Generation Comparison.”

Trip-Generation Comparison
It was found that trip-generation corresponding to the bank land use and the proposed restaurant land use
of the site are as follows:
24-Hour: The bank land use is calculated to generate 837 fewer vehicle trips (combined in and
out) than the proposed restaurant land use.
