3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SCOTT EQUIPMENT,IN AN AMOUNT NOT
5 TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SIXTEEN THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED
6 NINETY DOLLARS ($116,290.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND
7 FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) CASE CE 580SN BACKHOE
8 FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT STREET OPERATIONS
9 DIVISION AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Public Works Department Street Operations Division has a need to purchase one(1)
12 Case CE 580SN Backhoe; and,
13 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made through the utilization of the Sourcewell Contract No.
14 032119-CNH; and,
15 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase is One Hundred Sixteen Thousand, Two Hundred Ninety
16 Dollars($116,290.00),plus applicable taxes and fees.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Scott Equipment in an
20 amount not to exceed One Hundred Sixteen Thousand,Two Hundred Ninety Dollars($116,290.000),plus
21 applicable taxes and fees,for the purchase of(1)Case CE 580SN Backhoe to be used by the Public Works
22 Department Street Operations Division.
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Department Special Projects,
24 Account No. 205409-72300-S40B646.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
