RE: Height Variance Request — SE Corner of Kirk and Wellington Hills
Mr. Thrower,
The Owner of the 17.8 acre tract in the southeast corner of Kirk Road and Wellington Hills Road
requests that a height variance be approved to allow construction of structures that are 4 stories
on the low side and 3 stories on the high side.
This type of structure will reduce the area of exposed retaining walls required on the site, allow
preservation of the existing pond, decrease the building coverage on the site and allow increased
areas for open space and landscaping. The 4 story elevation will typically face to the south. The
3 story buildings will also exceed 35 feet in height at mid eve.
I have included a map of the tract, a preliminary site plan and a preliminary cross section of the
structure. Please place this item on the agenda for the September meeting of the Board of
Adjustment.
