Tim, Tracy, and Torrence – Attached is the revised survey/site plan drawing. Do I also need to deliver printed copies of this to your office? I’m happy to do so, but wanted to check first to see if that is necessary. Please let me know. Please submit an updated survey/site plan drawing no later than Monday, June 21, 2021. Many thanks! – Tim Tim A. Herndon, Development Manager City of Little Rock | Planning and Development 723 W. Thanks, and I meant to say, we know we’ll need to get the surveyor to revise it accordingly. Tim – I just learned that my wife and designer/builder have decided that for the project to make sense, the room addition should be extended 2 feet farther east (2 feet closer to rear boundary), which would still be 16.9 feet from the line. Can this application be amended at this time, or does this push it to another application cycle? Please advise at your earliest convenience. Spruce St. Hi Jeff. I looked at your submittal which appears to be adequate. It definitely can’t hurt to submit building elevations (this assumes you have drawings to submit, even if they’re preliminary or conceptual. I recall from our meeting in late April, you do have some drawings.) Another thing that “can’t hurt” is if you can state your adjacent/affected neighbors have been contacted and are supportive. This said, you’re obligated to notify all owners within 200’, therefore it’s implicit that your neighbors will be informed, one way or another – so you can decide how to handle that part. Finally, some time today, bring your application in with a check (payable to City of Little Rock - $100 review fee, $5 sign fee for a total of $105,) and pick up your “variance” sign to post somewhere out of the weather and visible from the street. Torrence and Tracy are copied here – for the most part they will facilitate your variance application up to the July 15 Board of Adjustment hearing. Many thanks. – Tim PS I’m glad to hear Lt. Paz has communicated/visited regarding a possible USCG station in LR. I understand the Coast Guard is a long way out from actually doing such a project, but I’ll be interested in hearing more in the future. Tim A. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Tim, on the matter I spoke to you about earlier, I need to get my application filed tomorrow. I just want to make sure I have my ducks in a row. Attached is what I plan to submit. Does this look in order? If I bring this (cover letter, application form, and 6 copies of the survey) along with the application fees, is that a valid application that will get me on the docket? Anything else? Should elevation drawings be included too? I made a note that you said the check for fees should be $105 – is that correct and is it acceptable for that to be via one check? Finally, is the building open? Who should I see? Do I need to call and make an appointment? Thanks for any guidance you can provide.
