We feel that strict enforcement of these provisions would be a hardship
and are requesting variance(s) in this case for the following reasons:
Our house, built in 1956, appears to have been out of compliance with zoning
regulations since day one. For this reason we are asking for a variance from
the applicable zoning code.
Further, we are asking permission to replace a 20 plus year old deck (13' X
21') on the front of our house that has become a safety hazard with a deck
(13' X 22') basically covering the same footprint as the one being replaced.
In anticipation of having to gather signatures to provide evidence that a
notice has been given to neighbors about our variance request, we are asking
permission to 1) use the Pulaski County Assessor's Office website to gather
the names and addresses of the owners of houses within the 200' range
stipulated by the regulation and 2) to obtain the required signatures by
personally delivering the notice.
We will greatly appreciate the Little Rock Board of Adjustment's approval of
our variance request.
