Dear Members of the Little Rock Board of Adjustment:
My wife and I would like to remodel our existing front porch at 10633 Rivercrest Drive because
it is no longer structurally sound, it has developed a significant sag since its construction in 1965,
it isn’t really functional as a porch due to its design, and it does not blend with the other houses
on our street.
However, the location of the 25’ building line on our property significantly limits our ability to
construct a new porch that is aesthetically pleasing to the neighborhood, structurally sound, and
functional. As a matter of fact, anything constructed beyond the front brick façade of our house
would encroach on the 25’ building line. Therefore, we are writing to request a variance to our
front yard setback requirements to allow us to remove the old porch and construct the porch
shown on the attached plan sheet.
