Dear Commissioners:
We would like to request for a pole sign of 20’ for Residence Inn located at 1401 S Shackleford
Road for following reasons:
On South Shackleford Road, there is a large slope going to the hotel and our current monument
signage is just not visible.
Secondly, trees have grown on South Shackleford Road since 1996 & since our monument sign
was installed back then, it is not visible until you get right up on the hotel. Typically there is
heavy traffic on this road for Guests/Customers to take sudden turn creating hazardous
condition.
Each of the businesses around us have similar 20’-25’ visible signage.
Marriott Brand requires & prefers to have a Pylon Sign of minimum 20’.
