Dear Tim,
Please find attached our submittal to the Little Rock Board of Adjustments requesting a
side yard setback variance for the property at 5423 Country Club Boulevard.
Our clients hope to construct a new covered outdoor area to the east of the house.
Their reasoning for locating it in thisarea is because it is adjacent to their kitchen entry.
Also, their rear yard has a substantial driveway area with the entrance to a garage and
is the home of an enormous tree that we do not want to disrupt.
We are asking for a reduced side yard setback to enable the following:
A covered porch area which would project 6'-3" from the side of the house to within 1'-4"
of the. side property line.
This new porch would be approximately 30' long and would cover the existing entry
stoop into the kitchen and a patio area towards the north.
Our new patio would sit on a brick faced retaining wall that would end on the east
property line and a new fence or brick wall will be constructed above for privacy.
