For the consideration of a Residential Zoning Variance:
My wife and I would like to request residential zoning variance from the City of Little Rock.
We own a Single Use Family Residential Home at 308 North Plaza Drive, Little Rock AR
72205. A survey of the property has been completed and is attached to our application. We are
requesting to repair and replace the existing carport roof.
The existing carport roof is flat and currently directs rainwater runoff onto our neighbor's
retaining wall. Water damage from runoff is noticeable in driveway concrete that runs along
retaining wall. The new proposed carport roof will be pitched in a way to tie into the
architecture of the existing home roof. The pitch will redirect rainwater runoff from front to
back. This will allow for the rainwater to be redirected away from the retaining wall. The
current property owner of the retaining wall has been spoken to about the proposed roof changed
on the car port and has agree to signed a notice of variance for this project.
