Hi, Ms. Muller. Thanks for standing by to hear from us.
We’ve completed our review of your variance request. The Little Rock City Code 36-156(2)(b.) states,
“All single- and two-family residences shall be separated from accessory structures by a distance of not
less than six (6) feet.” However, regarding your swimming pool application [and others like it,] this
office has chosen to waive the requirement for ground-level structures less than six feet (but no less
than four feet) from a principal residence. Therefore, your construction permit will not require
approval by the Little Rock Board of Adjustment.
Because we have expended City resources during processing and review of the application, we will
retain associated fees ($105.00.)
Please keep this email for your records and to share with your contractor and/or whomever will apply
for your construction permit.
