It was mailed June 25, and does not meet the statutory “10-day in advance of BOA mtg.” requirement. The phone number below is incorrect (it’s 786-0827.) Certified receipts say the mailings occurred June 25, eight days prior to BOA meeting. The next door owner received notice on Sat. June 27 – seven days prior to the meeting. Updated plans and phone number are emailed to neighbor with Kristen Saffa’s permission. Our request for variance(s) is to demolish and replace an existing one car carport with a two-car garage detached from the house. We have asked that the Board consider a variance to demolish the carport and build a garage in its place. City Code Section 36-156 requires that accessory structures in residential zones allow for maximum rear yard coverage of 30 percent, but our proposal is not unlike those of several of our neighbors and will take up slightly more than the 30 percent maximum. In accordance with the rules of the Board of Adjustments, we are notifying you within 10 days prior to our Board of Adjustments meeting set on July 2, 2020 and including our application, per the rules set forth by the board.
