To whom it may concern:
We are requesting a variance to build our privacy fence beyond the original property building line along
Tam O Shanter Court. Because we have a corner lot, we have a 40 foot building easement along the
front of our property on Valley Club Circle AND along the side on Tam O Shanter Court. This is an
unusual configuration that impedes us from using a large portion of our back yard. This area of our back
yard already has a natural barrier of tall shrubs that will conceal the fence (see included photograph).
We will be leaving these shrubs in place. We have already spoken with our adjacent neighbors and they
have agreed with our proposal.
Details:
We plan to build a 6 foot pine wood privacy fence with cap and trim, as detailed in the included
estimate from Ingle Fence Company (also shown in red on the survey). The fence will be built behind
the current shrubs parallel to Tam O Shanter Court. This is illustrated in the drawing from Ingle and
show in the photograph included. That section the fence will be inset approximately 13 feet from Tam
O Shanter Court.
