HomeMy WebLinkAbout6.9.21 Final Bldg Pmt Agreement From: Herndon, Tim Sent: Wednesday, June 9, 2021 5:59 PM To: 'Jacey Guthrie' <jaceyt328@gmail.com>; Chase Guthrie <cguthr2@gmail.com>; 'ericward@ewardconstruction.com' <ericward@ewardconstruction.com> Cc: Steele, Terry <TSteele@littlerock.gov>; Spillman, Darren <dspillman@littlerock.gov>; 'tchambers@ewardconstruction.com' <tchambers@ewardconstruction.com> Subject: IMPORTANT UPDATE: 5404 Hawthorne - Bldg. Permit Importance: High Jacey and Chase, Based on my most recent discussions with you by phone today, we have agreed to proceed as follows: A) Construct your home within the required setbacks Or B) Submit a new variance(s) application to address your currently proposed plans, which differ profoundly from the intentions stated in your 2020 variance application and July ’20 Board of Adjustment approval. Or C) Revise previously submitted plans to extend your front sidewalk and remove the existing parking slab presently lying partially within the Hawthorne Rd. right-of-way. Again, when your revised plans are submitted indicating complete removal of the front yard slab on Hawthorne and construction of the sidewalk extension, your building permit will be issued generally as- is. This assumes no architectural or technical issues such as MEP or structural, etc., which are not within my purview. Also, as discussed with Chase Guthrie this afternoon, if you wish to gain permission to build additional width into your Hawthorne Rd. driveway, coordinate directly with Vince Floriani, Planning & Development Civil Engineering, (501)371-4817 / vfloriani@littlerock.gov. Any future driveway widening shall be entirely separate from the building permitting issues presently as-hand, and is currently not approved. I recommend you keep a copy of this email for your records, and for submittal with forthcoming drawings amended per “C” above. Thanks. Tim A. Permit Denial Jaycey and Chase: Today Mr. Ward’s building permit application was brought to my attention by our permitting office, and I’ve been focused on this matter for much of the morning. Based on my review today, you have two choices: A) Construct your home within the required setbacks Or B) Submit a new variance(s) application to address your currently proposed plans, which differ profoundly from the intentions stated in your 2020 variance application and July ’20 Board of Adjustment approval. See attached for specifics. As you know, forms, schedules and associated information regarding permitting, variance applications, etc. is available at www.littlerock.gov. Please respond via return email if you have questions/comments for me. – Tim Cc: Eric Ward Const., permitting desk, BOA staff Tim A.
