3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH VERIZON WIRELESS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
5 EXCEED SEVENTY-TWO THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED FIFTY
6 DOLLARS ($72,650.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR
7 THE PURCHASE OF FIFTY (50) IPADS AND CASES FOR THE LITTLE
8 ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department is in need of iPads to replace older models with high
11 maintenance costs; and,
12 WHEREAS,the requested iPads will provide upgraded technology allowing for greater efficiency and
13 will be placed into each Fire Apparatus;and,
14 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made through the utilization of the State Contract No. SP-20-0035
15 for the purchase of fifty(50) iPads and cases; and,
16 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase is shall not exceed Seventy-Two Thousand, Six Hundred
17 Fifty Dollars($72,650.00),plus applicable taxes and fees.
18 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Verizon Wireless for the
21 purchase of fifty (50) iPads and cases for the Little Rock Fire Department, in the amount not to exceed
22 Seventy-Two Thousand, Six Hundred Fifty Dollars($72,650.00), plus applicable taxes and fees.
23 Section 2. Funding is available through Short-Term Financing,Account No. 108519-S51 C303.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
