3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DEERE& COMPANY,IN AN AMOUNT NOT
5 TO EXCEED FIFTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY
6 AND 51/100 DOLLARS ($58,430.51), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND
7 FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) JOHN DEER UTILITY
8 TRACTOR FOR THE PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT; AND
9 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Parks & Recreation Department has demonstrated a need for one (1) John Deere
12 5090E Utility Tractor to replace an aged,high maintenance unit currently in the City's fleet;and,
13 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made through the utilization of Sourcewell, Contract No. PA
14 4600046128; and,
15 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase of one(1)John Deere 5090E Utility Tractor is Fifty-Eight
16 Thousand, Four Hundred Thirty and 51/100 Dollars($58,430.51), plus applicable taxes and fees.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Deere& Company, in an
20 amount not to exceed Fifty-Eight Thousand, Four Hundred Thirty and 51/100 Dollars ($58,430.51), plus
21 applicable taxes and fees, for the purchase of one (1)John Deere 5090E Utility Tractor to be used by the
22 Parks& Recreation Department.
23 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available to be paid from Fleet Special Projects,Account No.
24 210759-72200-S00B399.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
