Home My WebLink About15603 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,603 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH 5 HANSON AND MCLAUGHLIN,INC.,IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 6 FIFTY-TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($52,000.00), FOR DESIGN OF THE 7 REBSAMEN PARK ROAD AND MIDLAND STREET DRAINAGE 8 IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 15,524 (August 17, 2021), as adopted by the Little Rock Board of 11 Directors, made a Three Million Dollar ($3,000,000.00) allocation of American Rescue Act Funds for 12 Water and Sewer Infrastructure Improvement Projects;and, 13 WHEREAS, staff has identified currently designed, eligible projects in Wards 1, 3 and 7, including 14 improvements on Rebsamen Park Road and Midland Street; and, 15 WHEREAS,Hanson and McLaughlin, Inc.,was selected for Professional Services through an Annual 16 Statements of Qualifications Process, Bid No. 1063 to provide Engineering Services for surveying, design 17 and on call construction assistance for Ward 3 projects described herein. 18 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 19 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Hanson and McLaughlin, 21 Inc.,in an amount not to exceed Fifty-Two Thousand Dollars($52,000.00)for Engineering Design Services 22 for the following projects: 23 A. Rebsamen Park Road Drainage near Iris Street; and, 24 B. Midland Street Drainage at Lee Street. 25 Section 2. Funding for the contract increase is from funds allocated from the American Rescue Act 26 for Water and Sewer Infrastructure Improvement Projects pursuant to Resolution No. 15,524. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 4. Repealer.
