3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH IMAGEWORKS COMMERICAL
5 INTERIORS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED
6 SEVENTY-ONE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED NINETY AND 45/100
7 DOLLARS ($171,190.45), FOR THE PHILANDER SMITH COLLEGE 12TH
8 STREET STATION FURNITURE PACKAGE; AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, construction of the 12th Street Station located at 3917 West 12th Street in Little Rock,
12 Arkansas, which currently houses offices of the Little Rock Police Department, was intended to include
13 space for other non-City uses in order to help redevelop the 12th Street Corridor of the City; and,
14 WHEREAS, the City has been approached by Philander Smith College regarding the use of part of
15 this structure for a Criminal Justice Program, a Social Justice Hub and the Philander Smith College
16 Management Institute; and,
17 WHEREAS, once the 12th Street Station building has been renovated to allow for Philander Smith
18 College's use of space within the building,a furniture package will be needed for this space; and,
19 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 5,509 (March 18, 1976), the Purchasing
20 Division of the City of Little Rock is authorized to purchase on contracts awarded by the State of
21 Arkansas;and,
22 WHEREAS,the City's Purchasing Division certified and selected ImageWorks Commercial Interiors
23 as the responsive and responsible bidder from Arkansas State Contract SP-20-0120 and SP-21-0048 for
24 the Philander Smith College 12th Street Station Furniture Package.
25 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
26 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
27 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an Agreement with ImageWorks
28 Commercial Interiors in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Seventy-One Thousand, One Hundred
29 Ninety and 45/100 Dollars ($171,190.45), for the Philander Smith College 12th Street Station Furniture
30 Package.
31 Section 2. Funds for this Agreement will come from Activity 108529-S52C301.
32 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
33 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or

1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
5 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
