HomeMy WebLinkAbout15587 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,587 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXTEND 4 THE CONTRACT WITH IMPACT MANAGEMENT AND MITCHELL, 5 WILLIAMS, SELIG, GATES & WOODYARD, PLLC, IN AN AMOUNT 6 NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000.00), TO 7 PROVIDE GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS AND CONSULTING 8 SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (City), solicited qualifications to hire a firm or firms 11 engaged in a joint venture for Governmental Affairs and Consulting Services; and, 12 WHEREAS, after a review of the submitted proposals, the City chose the joint venture by Impact 13 Management Group and Mitchell, Williams, Selig,Gates& Woodyard,PLLC;and, 14 WHEREAS, Professional Services of this nature are crucial to ensure the City is well represented 15 with the Arkansas General Assembly on any issues that may arise ranging from appropriations to 16 programs and other legislative mandates; and, 17 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 15,309 (October 6, 2020) authorized the City Manager to enter into an 18 agreement with Impact Management and Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, to provide 19 Governmental Affairs and Consulting Services through December 31,2021;and, 20 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 15,309 authorized up to two (2), twelve (12)-month extension upon 21 mutual consent of all parties at a maximum of Fifty Thousand Dollars($50,000.00)per year. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to extend the City's agreement with Impact 25 Management and Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard to provide Governmental Affairs and 26 Consulting Services. 27 Section 2. The City of Little Rock will pay up to Fifty Thousand Dollars ($ 50,000.00) for the 28 services to be provided from January 1,2022,through December 31,2022. 29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 33 resolution.
