3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH LONESTAR TACTICAL BUILDERS, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIXTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, TWO
6 HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($68,250.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES
7 AND FEES,FOR THE PURCHASE OF A FLASHOVER SIMULATOR FOR
8 THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Little Rock Fire Department(LRFD) be equipped and trained with
12 reliable tools and equipment; and,
13 WHEREAS,LRFD has a need to replace the inoperable Flashover Simulator that plays a vital role in
14 the training of Fire Recruits; and,
15 WHEREAS, bids were taken for the Flashover Simulator, Bid No. 1306, and Lonestar Tactical
16 Builders was the low bidder,of the two(2 )bids submitted, with a total bid of Sixty-Eight Thousand,Two
17 Hundred Fifty Dollars($68,250.00),plus applicable taxes and fees; and,
18 WHEREAS, staff recommends a contract be awarded to Lonestar Tactical Builders for the purchase
19 of the Flashover Simulator.
20 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Lonestar Tactical Builders for
23 the purchase of a Flashover Simulator for the amount of Sixty-Eight Thousand,Two Hundred Fifty Dollars
24 ($68,250.00),plus applicable taxes and fees.
25 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available through ACT 833,Account No. 210519-S00B250.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
