Please see attached before and after photos of Terry House service gate columns (located at SE corner of property off E.
8th Street).
Because of the original materials used on these elements (cast iron) vendor opted to straighten these to a reasonable
degree and then secure them utilizing on site fabricated straps to adjacent, more contemporary swing gate support
brackets as opposed to welding directly to cast elements.
Repair was basically ‘timely’ due to nature of requesting parties and should be considered “reversible” should funding
become available for a more comprehensive repair.

I think your suspicions about the age of the wrought iron is correct.
