HomeMy WebLinkAbout15576 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,576 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT COMMISSIONERS FOR THE QUAPAW 4 CENTRAL BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 5 OF THE CITY OF 5 LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 6 7 WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners of the Quapaw Central Business Improvement District 8 No. 5 of Little Rock, Arkansas, has advised the City that a vacancy exists on the Board of 9 Commissioners arising from the resignation of Cassandra Toro; and, 10 WHEREAS, said Board of Commissioners has recommended the appointment of Jack Sundell, a 11 property owner in the District,to fill the vacancy for a six(6)-year term to end in 2028; and, 12 WHEREAS, said Board of Commissioners has recommended the appointment of Phil Brandon, a 13 property owner in the District,to be appointed for a six(6)-year term,also ending 2028; and, 14 WHEREAS, said Board of Commissioners has recommended the reappointment of Charles 15 Heinbockel,a property owner in the District,to be reappointed for a six(6)-year term,also ending 2028. 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 17 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. Jack Sundell is hereby appointed a Commissioner of Quapaw Central Business 19 Improvement District No. 5 pursuant to authority granted in Ark. Code Ann. 14-184-111 for a six (6)- 20 year term to end in 2028. 21 Section 2. Phil Brandon is appointed a Commissioner of Quapaw Central Business Improvement 22 District#5 pursuant to authority granted in Ark. Code Ann. 14-184-111 for a six(6)-year term,to end in 23 2028. 24 Section 3.Charles Heinbockel is reappointed in 2022 for a six(6)-year term that will end in 2028. 25 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be 26 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of 27 this resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged 28 invalid or unconstitutional,was not originally a part of the resolution. 29 Section 5. Repealer.
