3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH J.A. RIGGS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
5 EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, FOUR
6 HUNDRED NINETY-SIX DOLLARS ($127,496.00), PLUS APPLICABLE
7 TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) CATERPILLAR
8 DOZER FOR THE PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT; AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Parks & Recreation Department has demonstrated a need for one (1) Caterpillar
12 Dozer,Model No. D2 XL AAG to replace an aged,high maintenance unit currently in the City's fleet;and,
13 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made through the utilization of Sourcewell,Contract No. 032119-
14 CAT;and,
15 WHEREAS, the total cost for the purchase of one (1) Caterpillar Dozer is One Hundred Twenty-
16 Seven Thousand, Four Hundred Ninety-Six Dollars($127,496.00),plus applicable taxes and fees.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with J.A. Riggs, in an amount
20 not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand, Four Hundred Ninety-Six Dollars ($127,496.00),
21 plus applicable taxes and fees,for the purchase of one(1)Caterpillar Dozer, Model No. D2-XL-AAG to be
22 used by the Parks& Recreation Department.
23 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available to be paid from Fleet Account No. 210759-72300-
24 S00B399.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
