Good morning Trish,
I’ve received your photos. Thanks for sending those over! I will put together the COC for the work to repaint the
masonry foundation and make repairs to the fence.
Concerning the work on your deck, after reviewing the photos and better understanding the scope, this specific project
goes beyond maintenance and would need to be approved for a COA (Certificate of Appropriateness). This application
process can be found on the city’s website here under Historic District Commission. The closest filing date for COA’s is
November 29, 2021. For these applications, the public hearing would be on January 6 th, 2022. Our full calendar for 2022
is on the same website page and section.
It appears that the deck was expanded by previous owners without going through the local ordinance review process. I
can’t say this for sure, but since we do not have a case file for these alterations it leads me to believe it was done this
way. The result looks to be a hodge-podge of wood balustrades and metal railings. Please see attached the last survey
we have of the deck. This is a National Register survey from 2007 and a photo of the deck is on page 8.

Hi Hannah! I have attached photos of the fence and the deck. As mentioned on the phone, I talked to the permit office
for the city of Little Rock and they said we would not need a permit for the fence since each part is less than $500 of
work. I have attached a few photos of each side of the fence - there is one area that we would like to replace on each
side (2 areas total). I have circled the parts that we would like to replace with a similar 6ft wood material. As for the
deck, we would like to build new railings and enclose the deck. Please let me know if you have any questions or need
any additional information.
