Building Permit Site Plan (1412 Rock St)
City of Little Rock, AR Building Permit Site Plan for Solar Install Contractor: Sun City Solar Energy, LLC PO Box 26613 Little Rock, AR 72221 Chad Collins (Owner): Cell 501-247-6125, info@suncityenergy.com Scott Brownmiller (Operations Manager): Cell 479-445-0742, scott@suncityenergy.com Job Site Address: Douglas Melkovitz & Robert Fleming 1412 Rock St Little Rock, AR 72202 Project: Sun City Solar Energy, LLC is installing a grid-tied solar array on the roof of the garage. The modules will be attached to the shingle roof using Pegasus Flashed Feet and Ironridge aluminum railing. The data sheets for both the L-Feet and Railings are below. From the microinverters on the roof array, the electrician will run all wires through conduit to the area near the utility meter. The inverters will be tied into an AC Disconnect and the main electric panel for back feeding to Entergy. Ballard Electric (Steve Ballard, Master Elect) will perform the electrical work and will apply for the electrical permit as required. If more information is needed, please contact Scott Brownmiller for further details. Point Load Calculation: 1.Number of panels in array 2.Number of connections to roof 3.Weight of individual panel 4.Mounting system weight 5.total weight of array x += 1.3.4.5. 6.Weight at each connection /= (≤ 45lbs.; Combined point loads not to exceed 200 lbs. at any one member)5.2.6. Distributed Load Calulations: 7.Solar panel area (length x width) 8.Total array area x = 1.7.8. 9.Distributed Load /= (Max. allowable distributed load si 5/lbs. per sq. ft.)5.8.9. Not just the worst storms in years, but the worst storms in 40 years. High winds capable of ripping panels from a roof, and snowfalls weighing enough to buckle a panel frame. XR Rails are the structural backbone preventing these results. They resist uplift, protect against buckling and safely and efficiently transfer loads into the building structure. Their superior spanning capability requires fewer roof attachments, reducing the number of roof penetrations and the amount of installation time. XR Rail Family Force-Stabilizing Curve Sloped roofs generate both vertical and lateral forces on mounting rails which can cause them to bend and twist. The curved shape of XR Rails is specially designed to increase strength in both directions while resisting the twisting. This unique feature ensures greater security during extreme weather and a longer system lifetime. Compatible with Flat & Pitched Roofs Roof Mount utilizes XR Rails, along with optional all-in-one attachments, to secure systems flush against residential roofs. Corrosion-Resistant Materials XR Rails are compatible with FlashFoot and other pitched roof attachments. IronRidge offers a range of tilt leg options for flat roof mounting applications. All XR Rails are made of marine-grade aluminum alloy, then protected with an anodized finish. Anodizing prevents surface and structural corrosion, while also providing a more attractive appearance. XR Rail Family The XR Rail Family offers the strength of a curved rail in three targeted sizes. Each size supports specific design loads, while minimizing material costs. Depending on your location, there is an XR Rail to match. © 2014 IronRidge, Inc. All rights reserved. Visit www.ironridge.com or call 1-800-227-9523 for more information. Version 1.11 Tech Brief Rail Selection The following table was prepared in compliance with applicable engineering codes and standards. Values are based on the following criteria: ASCE 7-10, Roof Zone 1, Exposure B, Roof Slope of 7 to 27 degrees and Mean Building Height of 30 ft.
