Dear Mr. Felan:
As was noted in letters we sent to your organization late 2019 and May 2021, the Department of
Planning and Development is reviewing the City's future Land Use Plan in the area south of I-
630 to I-30 and east of I-430 to Union Pacific railroad. These changes are a result of discussions
and review by City Staff, to hopefully reflect a more likely future development pattern in the
area based on activity and changes noted in the recent past.
Map(s) illustrating some proposed changes are attached for your review and comment, as well as
a list of the Land Use categories with definitions for your information and use.
A public hearing has been set for 4 P.M. Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Centre at
University Park (6401 West 12th Street), before the Little Rock Planning Commission to review
the package of changes. You are invited to attend this hearing to share your thoughts and/or
concerns. If you can not attend, send any comments or questions to Walter Malone at the above
address or wmalone@littlerock.gov by Friday September 3, 2021, so that we may share your
comments with the Planning Commission.
Thank you for your time and consideration of this matter.
Sincerely,
Walter Malone, AICP
