HomeMy WebLinkAboutdraft Ordinance for LU19-01Page 1 of 4 ORDINANCE NO. _______________ 1 2 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE LAND USE PLAN 3 (16,222) IN THE AREA BETWEEN INTERSTATE 630 4 AND INTERSTATE 30, FROM INTERSTATE 430 TO 5 THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD LINE; AND FOR 6 OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the future Land Use Plan should be reviewed periodically to maintain its 9 accuracy and usefulness; and, 10 11 WHEREAS, City Staff has reviewed the area in question, considering the existing use 12 and zoning patterns as well as trends in development in the area; and, 13 14 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission has reviewed the package of 15 suggested changes and now recommends them for adoption. 16 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF 18 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 19 20 SECTION 1. The area south of Kanis Road, between Leander Drive and Labelle 21 Drive is amended is from Residential Low Density (RL) and Mobile Home (MH) to 22 Residential Medium Density (RM). (LU19-01-01) 23 24 SECTION 2. The area generally along the south floodway of Fourche Creek the entire 25 length of the amendment area is amended from Residential Low Density (RL) and Medium 26 Density Residential (RM) to Park/Open Space (PK/OS). (LU19-01-02A) 27 28 SECTION 3. The area from the end of Winston Drive north to the floodway of 29 Fourche Creek is amended from Residential Low Density (RL) and Light Industrial (LI) to 30 Park/Open Space (PK/OS). (LU19-01-02B) 31 Page 2 of 4 SECTION 4. The area generally north of Mabelvale Pike and west of Mabelvale Drive 1 is amended from Residential Low Density (RL) to Light Industrial (LI). (LU19-01-02C) 2 3 SECTION 5. The area north of Mabelvale Circle and west of Mabelvale Pike is 4 amended from Light Industrial (LI) to Park/Open Space (PK/OS). (LU19-01-02D) 5 6 SECTION 6. The area is east of the Union Pacific Railroad and north of 12th Street 7 is amended from Light Industrial (LI) to Commercial (C). (LU19-01-03A) 8 9 SECTION 7. The area south of West 11th Street between Appianway Street and the 10 Union Pacific Railroad is amended from Light Industrial (LI) to Mixed Use (MX). (LU19-01-11 03B) 12 13 SECTION 8. The area either side of 12th Street and Woodrow Street is amended from 14 Mixed Use (MX) to Commercial (C). (LU19-01-04) 15 16 SECTION 9. The area located at the southwest corner of West 14th Street and South 17 Woodrow Street is amended from Residential Low Density (RL) to Mixed Use (MX). (LU19-18 01-05) 19 20 SECTION 10. The area located at the northeast corner of South Woodrow Street and 21 West 16th Street is amended from Industrial (I) to Mixed Use (MX). (LU19-01-06A) 22 23 SECTION 11. The area between Woodrow Street and the Union Pacific Railroad, 24 generally from West 19th Street to north of West 17th Street is amended from Industrial (I) to 25 Service Trades District (STD). (LU19-01-06B) 26 27 SECTION 12. The area between Woodrow Street and the Union Pacific Railroad, 28 generally from West 19th Street south to West Charles Bussey Avenue is amended from 29 Industrial (I) to Light Industrial (LI). The area between Woodrow Street and the Union Pacific Railroad, 1 generally from West Charles Bussey Avenue south to Asher Avenue is amended from 2 Industrial (I) to Commercial (C). (LU19-01-06D) 3 4 SECTION 14. The area west of South Woodrow Street, between West Charles Bussey 5 Avenue and West 16th Street is amended from Residential Low Density (RL) to Residential 6 Medium Density (RM). (LU19-01-07) 7 8 SECTION 15. The area northeast of Interstate 430 and David O’Dodd Road is 9 amended from Residential Medium Density (RM) to Public Institutional (PI). (LU19-01-08) 10 11 SECTION 16. The area west of Shackleford Road, south and west of Clearwater 12 Drive and along and west of Shackleford Ridge Road is amended from Suburban Office (SO) 13 and Service Trades District (STD) to Light Industrial (LI). (LU19-01-09) 14 15 SECTION 17. The area along and east of Interstate 430 and south of Talley Road is 16 amended from Suburban Office (SO) to Residential Medium Density (RM). (LU19-01-10) 17 18 SECTION 18. The area south of Colonel Glenn Road and east of Talley Road is 19 amended from Light Industrial (LI) to Commercial (C). (LU19-01-11) 20 21 SECTION 19. That the Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force 30 days after 22 the date of its passage and approval. 23 24 SECTION 20. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 25 clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 26 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the 27 ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged 28 invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the ordinance. 29 30 31 Page 4 of 4 SECTION 21. Repealer.
