3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP,
5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION, ONE
6 HUNDRED ELEVEN THOUSAND, FORTY-ONE DOLLARS,
7 ($1,111,041.00), FOR KANIS ROAD IMPROVEMENTS, FROM BUSINESS
8 PARK DRIVE TO MICHAEL DRIVE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for the Kanis Road Improvements, from Business Park Drive to
11 Michael Drive,Project No. 04-17-ST-202,Bid No. 1363; and,
12 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone Construction
17 Group, Inc., for the Kanis Road Improvements, from Business Park Drive to Michael Drive, in an amount
18 not to exceed One Million, One Hundred Eleven Thousand, Forty-One Dollars ($1,111,041.00), which is
19 the base bid amount of Nine Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand, Eight Hundred Sixty-Seven and 50/100
20 Dollars($925,867.50), plus 20%contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds and the Limited Tax Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by Resolution
23 No. 14,803.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
