Project Description with Conditions listed:
1) Original Wood Windows
On sketch below, the four windows on the first floor (D, F, G, and H) are original to the house.
Repair these four wood windows to an operating state.
i) Replace sashes only when more than one member of the sash is rotten.
ii) Clean, repair, reglaze and repaint sashes and jambs.
iii) Replace cord and weights where needed.
2) Replacement Wood Windows
The majority of the windows were replaced in 1999 following the tornado. The windows to be
replaced now are those that were replaced at that time.
i) Replace windows with same size window as previously installed.
ii) Replacement windows are to be one over one double hung, double pane, wood windows by
Pella.
iii) Clean, repair, and repaint trim around windows.
iv) Where needed, replace rotten boards with boards of same dimension and profile. Caulk,
prime and paint.
