We have been working with local artists to create this installation that would be placed on the property we own at 301 E. Capitol just across the street from our main office at 221 E Capitol. We have been located on this corner for more than 50 years going back to our time as a department of the City of Little Rock as the Water Works. CAW is dedicated to the growth of downtown Little Rock in a sustainable manner that protects the historic fabric of the city as evidenced by our development of Fassler Hall, the two employee parking lots along Cumberland and the ongoing renovation of the deli building at 314 E. 6t''. We chose this property for the artwork because of its visible and high traffic location next to the Rock Region Metro River Cities Travel Center, CAW Main Office, and Fassler Hall. This art installation would enhance the corner and further expand the developing art corridor around downtown. We envision a 3-part installation. The major component is a large mural telling the story of water painted on a board mounted to the north brick wall. This mural would be mounted with screws into the mortar, so that it could be removed in the future without damaging or modifying the brick wall. The second component is to paint the manhole cover and drain similar to other drain art in many other locations around the city. Finally, the column in front of the building would be wrapped with shimmery materials to replicate the idea of flowing water. Together these components would tell the story of water from the Forest to the Tap. None of the art would modify the structures in a permanent way. Photos of the current and proposed art installation are attached. Sincerely, 6 ,4 Y. 6AAA,_ Linda K.
