I am sorry to hear of the burning of the garage. I have enclosed a "Certificate of
Compliance" that will allow you to remove all the debris from the garage and fix the
existing fence. This COC also allows for a temporary fence to secure the area.
The ordinance allows Staff to approve some items as maintenance and some others out
of public safety. The ordinance does not allow staff approval on the replacement of the
garage or the installation of a permanent fence that was not there before the fire. The
paperwork that I dropped of to you yesterday was for the public review process if you
wish to replace the garage or add a permanent fence in the rear yard.
If you do decide on replacing the garage, adding a permanent fence where the garage
was, or other items to the exterior o your home, please contact me and we will get you
on the agenda. If you do not have a survey of the house, you will need one to built the
new garage or fence.
