Brian, I am opposed to what AMFA wants to do with the signage and the walk. First on the signage: the prominence
should be to MacArthur Park. If they remove the signs, at least they should be responsible for moving to another place
in the park that the Parks Dept would agree to.
On the walk: this is an historic walkway. It is possible to relay it to make it work and not destroy every bit of the historic
nature of the park.
This is looking like an urban renewal project and you know what was lost the last time. It is important to embrace our
history.
I’m not optimistic that these comments will change anything, but the least they could do is move the sign and embrace
their location in the historic first park in Little Rock.
