Dear Mr. Melkovitz,
Your application HDC2021-009 for Storm Windows and Exterior Staircase, at 923
McMath Avenue will be heard before the Historic District Commission on May 6, 2021.
The hearing will be held in the William Grant Still Ballroom of the Robinson Center, 426 West
Markham. The meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m.
Your application will be item One on the agenda. You or your agent must be present in
order for the item to be heard.
Please follow directions exactly when giving ten days’ notice to all property owners as
stated in the application on page 3 instructions #4 and #5. Use “HDC2021-009” to
complete your mailing labels as shown in the instructions.
The application form states that “A description of materials for all exterior surfaces listed
above shall be provided to Staff at time of filing. Web site addresses are appropriate but
cut sheets of individual materials are preferred.” The following information will need to
be submitted to Staff by April 15, 2021 to complete your filing. If you are not including
any of the items below, please respond with “not applicable”.
Storm windows: Will these be full screen or half screen? Will they be operable?
Provide a manufacturer name, model, or vendor. Clarify if this will be for every window
on the main house.
Satellite Dishes: State location and details on any satellite dish. If not using a dish,
please state so.
Solar Collectors: Provide details on locations, size, material, and finish.
Exterior staircase and porch: Has this staircase and porch already been built? Do
you have a survey to show the setback on this staircase? Please provide either
sketches of the handrails or additional photos to show what has been built.
Exterior Door from staircase: Provide photo of new door to be installed.
