Mr. Minyard,
Renovations are ongoing at 923 McMath Ave, Little Rock, AR, 72202. We have been heavily
engaged in original window and siding restoration. Unfortunately we have had two break ins
that have required us to rethink our window plan. For aesthetics we don’t want to re-install the
metal bars that were on the windows when we started renovations. Therefore for increased
security and aesthetics and the added benefit of additional energy efficiency we propose to
install black metal storm windows. The window sashes have been painted black. The storm
windows will not only be a functional addition, but will also blend with the overall color scheme
of the house.
The non-contributing, 2 story duplex to the East (back) of the main house has an undersized
(height and width) interior stair case. For safer ingress/egress and for ease of entry for future
residents we propose to build an exterior staircase on the North Side of the building. We will
transform the Upper, North East window opening to function as the new access point to the
upstairs apartment.
We feel that these changes will enhance our plan to make the main house and its back building
a safer and more livable environment for the future occupants.
