To clarify as this email will be attached to the permit, the fence will be constructed as such: North fence (outward facing side) will be 6’-0” tall including any cap with brick to match the house. South fence (outward facing side) will have brick columns at the east and west corners. The columns shall be no more than 24” wide on the south and west walls. The outward facing side will have vertical furring strips and 1”x6” cypress boards attached horizontally except at the corner columns. West fence (outward facing side) will have 2’-0” of brick base including brick sill with 4’-0” minimum measured vertically of wood as described above. The Historic District Commission does not review the inward facing sides of the fence. Those may be brick and may have columns as long as the top of the columns or the top of the brick is not visible from outside the property. With these sketches and the text above, Staff will approve the fence as modified. Terry, please attach this email as well as the pdf with sections above to the permit. Good afternoon Brian, I believe Page is heading back to his office to resubmit the drawings for the privacy fence for 1414. The perspective drawings show the wood and include the dimensions calling out 2' brick west wall with 4' wood above. Thanks On Fri, Jul 23, 2021 at 1:43 PM Minyard, Brian <BMinyard@littlerock.gov> wrote: Thank you. Send the new sketches through the portal and I will sign off on Monday. I'm working up the drawings and should have something come back through Monday. Have a good weekend. In the spirit of what was approved, we feel that the 2’ of wood and the 4’ of brick on the west wall should be switched to 2’ of brick and 4’ of wood. If this is acceptable, please let us know. 4 Brian Minyard, AICP Urban Designer City of Little Rock 723 West Markham Little Rock, AR 72201 bminyard@littlerock.gov Phone 501-371-4789 Fax 501-399-3435 From: Minyard, Brian Sent: Wednesday, July 21, 2021 3:25 PM To: 'David Anderson' <misterdavidanderson@gmail.com> Subject: RE: sketches Received. This is the most compromising I can get in this situation. Please find this as our effort to make this work.
