As a result of Ordinance 22017 some 33.7 acres plus or minus in size will become part of the City of Little Rock as of September 3, 2021. The area has been reclassified Planned Residential District by Ordinance 22018 adopted on August 17, 2021. There are two single-family houses (18500 & 18520 Kanis Road) which the developer plans to remove from the property currently on the land. The owner is proposing to develop 55 acres (including this annexation area) as a gated, age restricted development of attached residential and a clubhouse. Please take all necessary actions to assure that the area receives city services. Attached you should find a copy of Ordinance 22017 and map. The area annexed is along the north side of Kanis Road, between Rahling Road and Denny Road (approximately 17000 through 18500 Kanis Road). Repealer.
