HomeMy WebLinkAbout15506 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,506 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANGER TO ENTER INTO 4 A CONTRACT WITH BRIDGE 2 SUCCESS/MINISTRY OF 5 INTERCESSION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED 6 THOUSAND DOLLARS ($200,000.00), FOR THE PURPOSE OF 7 PROVIDING COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMMING, FOR A ONE (1)- 8 YEAR PERIOD STARTING JULY 1, 2021, AS ENDORSED BY THE 9 COMMISSION ON CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES, AND FOR OTH- 10 ER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, as part of the continued efforts to fund special programs with Prevention and 13 Intervention Dollars that will benefit children,youth and families within the City;and, 14 WHEREAS, Community-based Intervention Programs are part of the Prevention and Youth 15 Intervention programs conducted by non-profit and faith-based organizations which may be located 16 anywhere within the City; and, 17 WHEREAS,after the issuance of a request for proposals for these services, six(6)applicants bid for 18 Community-based Intervention Programs in Bid No. 1278; and, 19 WHEREAS,a review committee met to evaluate the qualifications and responses of the various non- 20 profit, and faith-based organizations, of which one (1) applicant (Bridge 2 Success/Ministry of 21 Intercession)met the minimum scores for funding consideration; and, 22 WHEREAS, the Commission on Children, Youth and Families met to review the recommendation, 23 and now endorse Bridge 2 Success/Ministry of Intercession for approval; and, 24 WHEREAS, upon the formal adoption of this resolution, the contract will be finalized and executed 25 with Bridge 2 Success/Ministry of Intercession. 26 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 27 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 28 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a Contract with Bridge 2 Success/Ministry 29 of Intercession for the expressed purpose of providing Community-Based Intervention Programs and 30 Services to Little Rock youth and adults ages thirteen (13)to thirty (30) in an amount not to exceed Two 31 Hundred Thousand Dollars($200,000.00). 32 Section 2. Funds for these programs are available in the 2021 Budget for the Community Programs 33 Department,Account No. S15C275. [Page 1 of 2] 1 Section 3. (a) The term for the contract listed in Section 1 of this resolution shall be for a period no 2 longer than one(1)-year starting July 1, 2021. This contract may be extended for up to two(2) additional 3 one(1)-year extensions based on satisfactory performance and appropriation of funding. 4 Section 7. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 5 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 6 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 7 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 8 resolution. 9 Section 8. Repealer. All laws, ordinances and resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 10 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 11 ADOPTED: July 20,2021 12 A ST• APPROVED: 13 .
