HomeMy WebLinkAbout15503 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,503 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH JANITORIAL DOCTORS, IN AN ANNUAL 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIXTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, SIX 6 HUNDRED DOLLARS ($67,600.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND 7 FEES, TO PROVIDE LAWN MOWING AND GROUNDS 8 MAINTENANCE SERVICES AT THE OAKLAND & FRATERNAL 9 HISTORIC CEMETERY PARK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, after the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery Park Board approved the bidding of 12 needed Lawn Mowing and Grounds Maintenance Services for the Oakland&Fraternal Historic Cemetery 13 Park,the City of Little Rock,Arkansas, issued Invitation to Bid No. 1280 for said services;and, 14 WHEREAS,Janitorial Doctors was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder of the four(4)bids 15 received; and, 16 WHEREAS, on July 8, 2021, at a specially called meeting, the Oakland & Fraternal Historic 17 Cemetery Park Board approved Janitorial Doctors to provide Lawn Mowing and Grounds Maintenance 18 Services for the Oakland&Fraternal Historic Cemetery Park; and, 19 WHEREAS,Janitorial Doctors is ready and willing to provide these needed services. 20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1.The City of Little Rock Board of Directors hereby authorize the City Manager to enter into 23 a Contract with Janitorial Doctors to provide Lawn Mowing and Grounds Maintenance Services for the 24 Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery Park in an annual amount not to exceed Sixty-Seven Thousand, 25 Six Hundred Dollars ($67,600.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, for a one (1)-year period, with an 26 option of two(2) additional one (1)-year terms by mutual agreement of the parties and on the same terms 27 and conditions as the original contract. 28 Section 2. The funds for the contract are available in the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery 29 General Fund,Account No. 2190788. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 34 resolution.
