COA REQUEST: Replace windows, trim and garage doors; construct privacy fence
PROJECT BACKGROUND, DESCRIPTION AND ANALYSIS: The property is located
north of I-630 on the southwest corner of 9th and Rock streets. The one -storied single family
structure has a gabled roof and was constructed circa 1880s; it is a combination of the Queen
Anne and Craftsman architectural styles. It is listed as contributing in the architectural survey of
the MacArthur Park Historic District.
A previous request by the applicants (replace the original, green metal architectural shingles with
asphalt, architectural shingles) was approved by the LRHDC at an earlier meeting this year.
NEIGHBORHOOD IMPACT AND REACTION: At the time of distribution, there were no
objections, by letter or phone, to the applicant's request.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: It is staff recommendation that the request for
0 new replacement of windows be approved conditionally
0 trim replacement be approved conditionally
0 the garage doors be deferred until more information is submitted and reviewed
0 the request for a privacy fence in the side and rear yards should be deferred
until more information is submitted and reviewed
0 applicant must submit an accurate accounting of project work completed
Should there be changes from the plans as presented, staff will be notified and appropriate
measures taken.
