Dear Planning and development commission,
Thank you for your time and consideration in reviewing the application for the changes to our home which
include new cosmetic siding and beams at 900 Rock St Little Rock, AR 72202.
Please understand my husband and I were unaware that we needed to file for a permit or get the approval
from the historic commission to make these small changes to the exterior of our home. We are very avid about
revitalizing our neighborhood by bringing this old home back to life. As you can see from the photos it was in
very poor condition we really wanted to add some original real wood back to the home and were inspired by a
home one block from us at 901 Cumberland that also had the cedar accents. We are new homeowners and new
to the downtown area. It was our mistake to not know these changes needed to go through the proper
approval.
The changes include
Real wood siding around the door area – We replaced old vinyl siding with the new wood siding.
Addition of new wood siding in the gable area of the front of the house
Two 6x6 inch 76 inch nonstructural cosmetic beams
We are now aware of the process and will follow the proper steps going forward. Thank you our time and
consideration into this matter.
