A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
WILKINS CONSTRUCTION FOR THE RIVER
MARKET PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE
WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the construction of a new pedestrian bridge in the
river market area to connect the Clinton Avenue to the new game and Fish Commission
Nature Center and the River Market Promenade,
AND, Wilkins Construction submitted the lowest responsible bid, Bid No.06 -254.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with
Wilkins Construction for the River Market Pedestrian Bridge.
SECTION 2. Funding for the project is available from an Economic Development
Administration grant (65 %), funds remaining from the 3`d Street Extension project (304 -
220- Z015), Fund 304 contingencies (304- 220 -A122) and short term financing (226 -230-
7275). Amount of construction services: $521,739 ($474,308 plus 10% contingencies).
SECTION 3. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
adoption.
