3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., ORDINANCE NO.
4 21,729 (MAY 21, 2019), TO AUTHORIZE AN INCREASE TO THE
5 SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS, INC., TO
6 INCLUDE FEES FOR THE UPGRADE OF THE EXTENSION OF THE
7 MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR THE CITY'S RADIO
8 INFRASTRUCTURE EQUIPMENT UTILIZED BY THE
9 COMMUNICATIONS DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 21,729 (May 21, 2019) provided for the sole-source
12 purchase of a Maintenance Agreement from Motorola Solutions, Inc., in the amount of One Hundred
13 Forty-Two Thousand, One Hundred Thirty-Nine and 05/100 Dollars ($142,139.05), including applicable
14 taxes and fees;and,
15 WHEREAS, this Maintenance Agreement is for the Radio Infrastructure System which includes
16 maintenance on dispatch center consoles, Mach Alert hardware, microwave links, and the radio IP logger
17 which is utilized by the Little Rock Police Department Communications Division; and,
18 WHEREAS, this Maintenance Agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc., has two (2), one (1)-year
19 extensions for a twelve(12)-month Maintenance Plan;and,
20 WHEREAS,the initial term of this Maintenance Agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc., expired
21 on or about January 1, 2021, and the City wishes to enter into the first of the two (2), one (1)-year
22 extensions;and,
23 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department has determined that it would be in the City's best
24 interests to upgrade the service agreement package;and,
25 WHEREAS, the first extension of the contract with the upgraded service agreement package is for
26 One Hundred Fifty-One Thousand, Five Hundred Thirteen and 28/100 Dollars($151,513.28)and shall be
27 for the period of January 1,2021,through December 31,2021; and,
28 WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend Ordinance No. 21,729 to account for the increase in fees due to
29 the upgrade of the service agreement package for the first of two(2), one(1)-year extensions of the Sole-
30 Source Agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc.
31 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
32 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
33 Section 1. Ordinance No. 21,729 is hereby amended to authorize the City Manager to enter into the

1 first of two(2), one(1)-year extensions of the sole-source agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc., in the
2 amount of Fifty-One Thousand,Five Hundred Thirteen and 28/100 Dollars($151,513.28), plus applicable
3 taxes and fees, to provide a twelve (12)-month Maintenance Plan, for the City's Radio Infrastructure
4 Equipment which includes maintenance on dispatch center consoles, Mach Alert hardware, microwave
5 links and the radio IP logger utilized by the Communications Division of the Little Rock Police
6 Department.
7 Section 2. Funds for the specific agreement authorized by this ordinance are available in the City's
8 911 Fund,Account No. 220512-61350.
9 Section 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be
10 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
11 ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
12 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this ordinance.
13 Section 4.Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any
14 provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict inconsistency, including, but
15 not limited to Ordinance No. 21,729.
