HomeMy WebLinkAbout15430 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,430 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 4 AN ANNUAL SOPHOS CONTRACT WITH IFWORLD, IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-NINE THOUSAND, NINE 6 HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS($269,925.00),PLUS APPLICABLE 7 TAXES AND FEES, FOR ANTI-VIRUS PROTECTION FOR THE 8 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS,the Information Technology Department has a need to provide anti-virus protection for 12 desktop computers, laptops and servers, endpoint detection, analysis, monitoring and online training 13 courses for end-users; and, 14 WHEREAS, due to the increase in laptop computers, servers and storage space, the quantities of 15 anti-virus licenses increased by 100 and servers by thirty-five(35); and, 16 WHEREAS,the Department solicited quotes from four(4)vendors for both three(3)and five(5)-year 17 contacts;and, 18 WHEREAS,after review of the bids received, it was determined that the five(5)-year contract quoted 19 by IFWORLD in the amount of Two Hundred Sixty-Nine Thousand,Nine Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars 20 ($269,925.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, provides the lowest, most economical anti-virus services 21 meeting the required specifications. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a five (5)-year contract with IFWORLD to 25 provide the annual Sophos Anti-Virus Protection for desktop computers, laptops and servers, endpoint 26 detection,analysis,monitoring and online training courses for end-users in a total amount of Two Hundred 27 Sixty-Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($269,925.00), plus applicable taxes and fees. 28 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Information Technology Department's Annual 29 Operating Budget,Account No. 103030-61350. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 34 resolution.
