3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH DELL MARKETING LP, FOR A TOTAL
5 PURCHASE PRICE OF ONE HUNDRED NINETY-NINE THOUSAND,
6 EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($199,800.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF
7 FIFTY-FOUR (54) LAPTOPS AND/OR TABLETS FOR USE IN CITY
8 VEHICLES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Department has a need to purchase of fifty-four (54) laptops and/or
11 tablets for installation and use in City vehicles; and,
12 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made through utilization of the Arkansas State Contract No. SP-16-
13 0019;and,
14 WHEREAS,the total cost of the purchase is not to exceed One Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand,Eight
15 Hundred Dollars($199,800.00)and funds are allocated in a Fleet Services Special Projects Account.
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Dell Marketing LP, for an
19 amount not to exceed One Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars($199,800.00), for the
20 purchase of fifty-four(54) laptops and/or tablets to be installed in City vehicles.
21 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Fleet Special Projects Account No. 108609-
22 S60C239.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
