Brian,
I am working on this door fiasco....I believe I can get the door with clear or frosted glass, but I noticed the notes
said "wood door" and none of these are wood. They are steel. Is that going to make a difference?
Before we settle on windows, I want to bring to you, the exact description from the provider to be sure we are
correct.
Thank you so much for all you help;)

Yes, they specified glass on the top. From the minutes:
Ms. Bell stated that there are 15 total windows to be replaced. Are we talking all of the windows or just the ones
that are seen from the street? Mr. Minyard stated that the Commission only reviews those visible from the street,
the north, west and a few on the south side. She commented that she would want all of the windows to
match. Commissioner Wilson suggested that she find local sources for affordable windows.
The summation of the discussion was that she would replace the windows with one over one wood windows clad
in metal or vinyl. The wood door on the front would have 1/2 or 3/4 glass panel at the top of the door. Ms. Bell
amended her application to reflect this change. Commissioner Johnson stated that the QQA keeps a list of
contractors. Ms. Bell asked if the large front glass window would be two single ganged window and the
Commission said yes.
Commissioner Jennifer Carman made a motion to approve the amended application and Vice Chair Russell
seconded. The motion was approved with a vote of 7 ayes and 0 noes.

I did some checking. JELD-WEN makes a ¾ view in steel with frosted or clear glass. Home depot has these.
http://www.jeld-wen.com/en-us/products/exterior-doors/styles/glass-panel/standard-steel-glass-panel-exterior-
door#/group=All&model=model1771
The next link has one with built in mini blinds inside the glass.

door#/group=All&model=model1778
look at these.
You are on the right track.

The door is almost there. the amount of glass and the one panel at the bottom is great. I went on line and
found the doors that were at Lowes. Can you get the door without the leaded glass effect? Just one sheet of
glass? frosted glass would be okay.
