Subject: 923 McMath Ave, Little Rock, AR
Mr. Minyard,
923 McMath Ave, Little Rock, AR, 72202, currently a single family home, and the 2 story
duplex that sits behind it, have been vacant for a number of years. We have taken steps
over the years in an attempt to keep the home and duplex safe. Despite these efforts,
vandals and squatters have continued to gain access and do damage. This damage has
resulted in an uninhabitable eye sore for the neighborhood. We feel this is the right time
to restore the house and the duplex to four updated and functioning rental units.
Since the house is a contributing structure to the MacArthur Park Historic District, our
goal is to restore the house as closely as possible to the original exterior appearance
while configuring the interior of the main house to function as a duplex. Our hope is that
in removing the overlay siding we will be able to unveil some of the original detailing.
Our intent is for the non-contributing, 2 story duplex to be a well maintained,
complimentary structure to the main house.
For additional parking, as well as resident safety for future 923 McMath residents, we
propose to expand the current parking at the NW corner of 10th and McMath Streets.
We currently own the 8 Unit apartment building at 718 E. 10th St.
