Applicant: Mark Brown and Jill Judy
Location: The Cohn House - 904 Scott Street
Description of Project: Remove concrete slab and partial wall from rear of property so that
permanent electrical and sewer service can be provided for the structure. Area where concrete
slab and partial wall will be removed will be converted to an 8-space parking area for residents
of the structure. A 6-foot fence with security gate will be constructed around the new parking
area. Landscaping will be installed to screen the fence.
Comments
The Cohn House is a contributing structure to the MacArthur Park Historic District. Recent rehabilitation
work will put this structure back into service. The removal of a concrete slab and partial wall in the rear
of the property will provide an area for secure parking for tenants of the Cohn House. Construction of a
fence and installation of landscaping will enhance this parking area. The project as described should be
compatible with the district.
