Yes, they are required to obtain a franchise permit to install the required trees and irrigation in the right-of-way. I have
not received this yet but in an effort to move this project along I approved without having the franchise. However, this
will need to be obtained before the CO is released.
Please encourage them to fill out the application with Beni Nicolo in Public Works as soon as possible and send a copy
to my attention.
And correct, this permit is only for the building and the new parking to be constructed on site. Since the adjacent
existing parking is on a separate property they will need to apply for an additional permit if they plan on renovating this
feature.

There are building permits for the building, but not the parking lot.
For my staff report:
Does this comply with the landscape ordinance?
I assume they will need a franchise permit. Yes or no.
Does this need to go to the City Beautiful?
