Dear Members of the Board,
I am writing this letter to request approval for extending our current fence to include the side
yard to the east of our home. Currently there is only a fence in the back of the home that the
prior owners requested and received approval for from this committee. This request is to
extend the fence along the eastern property line in the same design and materials that were
previously approved for the existing fence.
The reason for this fence is to hide the large city trash can, the recycle container, as well as the
mechanical devices that run the house (HVAC, electrical panels, generator, etc.) that are visible
from 9th Street. A fence will also help with cutting down on foot traffic that occurs from the ally
to 9th street. There have been two occurrences since we moved in in April that we have found
and had to remove human feces with used toilet paper that we found behind our trash cans
and HVAC.
