3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BURKHALTER TECHNOLOGIES INC., IN
5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-SIX
6 THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR DOLLARS (136,224.00),
7 FOR THE WEST 19" STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS,bids were solicited for the West 19'1' Street Improvement Project,from Grant Street to the
11 Coleman Creek Bridge, Project No. 01-17-ST-57, Bid No. 1040; and,
12 WHEREAS, Burkhalter Technologies, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Burkhalter
17 Technologies, Inc., for the West 1911' Street Improvement Project in an amount not to exceed One Hundred
18 Thirty-Six Thousand, Two Hundred Twenty-Four Dollars ($136,224.00), which is the base bid amount of
19 One Hundred Thirteen Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty Dollars($113,520.00), plus 20% contingencies.
20 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
21 Use Tax Funds and the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by
22 Resolution No. 14,803.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
